AIAPGET 2026 : Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern, Registration, Syllabus

AIAPGET 2026 is the national entrance exam for postgraduate AYUSH courses like MD/MS in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, and Siddha, tentatively scheduled for the first week of July 2026. To be eligible, candidates must have a BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, or BSMS degree and complete a one-year internship before the specified cutoff date. There is no age limit, and no limit on the number of times a candidate can take the exam. 

 
Eligibility
    • Educational Qualification: A valid BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, or BSMS degree from a recognized institution.
    • Internship: Completion of a one-year compulsory rotatory internship by the official deadline.
    • Registration: A mandatory provisional or permanent registration certificate from the Central or State AYUSH Council.
  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for candidates.

  • Attempt Limit: There is no limit on the number of times a candidate can take the exam. 

 

Exam details

  • Exam: All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET).
  • Purpose: Admission to postgraduate (MD/MS) courses in Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, and Siddha.
  • Tentative Exam Date: First week of July 2026.
  • Conducting Body: National Testing Agency (NTA). 

 

Important notes for provisional candidates

  • Candidates who are in the final phase of their internship can apply provisionally.
  • They must complete the internship by the deadline to be eligible for counseling and admission. 

 

Preparation resources

  • Syllabus: The official syllabus can be downloaded from the NTA AIAPGET website.
  • Study Material: Review undergraduate textbooks and class notes, focusing on both traditional and modern science subjects, as both are included in the syllabus.
  • Practice: Use previous years' question papers and mock tests to prepare.
