Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Academy of Technical Education which is also known as JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSSATE) is an engineering college situated in the city of Bangalore. JSSATE was established in the year of 1997 beneath the JSS Mahavidyapeetha which is located at Mysore. JSSATE is affiliated by VTU (i.e.) Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belgaum, Karnataka, India. It has been ranked by NIRF at 55 among the top universities in India in 2019.
Currently, seven different courses are available in the undergraduate (B.E.) program in JSSATE. In addition to the UG program, two courses in M.E. along with one business administration course also present in the post-graduation program. Around 120 candidates are carrying out their research studies in the JSSATE. There are approximately 2850 students are pursuing their studies in JSSATE.

Candidates applying for the B.Tech course should have passed Class 12th or any equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects either Chemistry or Biology or Electronics or Computer Science and should have scored a minimum aggregate marks of 45% (40% for reserved category)
Admission to the B.Tech course is done on the basis of marks secured in KCET/COMEDK-UGET examinations. Candidates need to appear for these qualifying examinations and choose JSSATE as their institute of choice during the counselling. Verification of documents and offline counselling will be held for the shortlisted candidates later at the campus.

- KCET examination is a state level examination conducted only for candidates from Karnataka.
- Candidates not from Karnataka need to apply with COMED-K UGET marks.

Admission to M.Tech course is done for candidates who have passed B.E./B.Tech. course with minimum aggregate marks of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) in the relevant branch.
Admission is done on the basis of marks secured in GATE examination. Shortlisted candidates need to attend a counselling session that will be held at the campus.

Candidates applying for the MBA course should have a Bachelor’s degree with minimum aggregate marks of 50% (45% SC/ST/Cat-1 candidates)
Admission to the MBA course is done on the basis of marks secured in the CAT/MAT/GMAT. Candidates can apply with any of their marks. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an offline counselling session.

Candidates can only apply through offline mode through forms that are available at the campus or at the website. After applying, shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling session that will be held at the campus.
- Candidates can obtain the application form and brochure from JSSATE office or even from VTU office.
- The filled in application form (with marks of qualifying examination) must then be submitted to the campus along with all the required documents.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the counselling schedule through mail.
